The JEB, Joint Examining Board, is an awarding body for teacher training qualification and professional development awards. This programme is an IT Teaching Diploma.
 
Exemptions: Qualified teachers are except from the Principles of Teachingand Training provided they possess a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PgDip) or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) qualification. Qualified teachers must be able to provide written confirmation from employers stating how long and how many hours they teach/lecture.
 

SUMMARY CONTENT
The JEB Diploma in Education Practice: ICT Skills consists of:
• The JEB Certificate in Education Principles and Practice
• The JEB Certificate in Education Practice: ICT Skills

The Certificate in Education Principles and Practice covers the principles of learning methods, and the development of your own practice methods. The Certificate in Education Practice: ICT Skills covers the management of ICT learning environment (hardware and software operating systems, equipment and techniques, preparation of ICT learning resources for Microsoft packages), applied principles of ICT Education. Participants must also undertake teaching practice.

 
DURATION: 1 Academic Year
FEE: €1250 for qualified teachers, €1600 for non-qualified teachers
TIMES: Tuesday & Thursday 7.00p.m.-9.30p.m.
ENROLMENT DATE: Monday 21st January 2008 7.00p.m.-9.00p.m.
COMMENCEMENT DATE: Tuesday 5th February 2008
