ESSENTIAL READING FOR STUDENTS ON SYLLABI
As this brochure only contains a “summary course content” it is essential that prospective students should download (from the awarding bodies web site) the full syllabus of the course they are considering attending.
This should be studied carefully to ensure that it covers the requirements of the student.
If any further clarification or course advice is required regarding course content you can contact the office or attend our enrolment night and meet the course tutor.
Monday Monday 14th September 2009 7.00 to 9.00 p.m.
Awarding Body web site addresses are below.
ESSENTIAL READING
Generally the first night of each course is an induction class. IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT ALL STUDENTS ATTEND THIS CLASS. As well as having a lecture this induction class is used by the night class co-ordinator to introduce himself and his role in the college and to check enrolment forms and collect fees.
It gives the students a chance to get to know the tutor and to ask any questions regarding the course content and delivery.
Timetables and exam dates will be issued and any questions regarding same answered. General information will be given regarding the awarding body and the examination and or assessment process. Dates for the submission of assignments will be agreed.
Students will be issued with the student handbook outlining the colleges best practise and procedures in accordance with its ISO9000/2000 quality award.
If students who do not attend the first night the administrative and teaching staff cannot guarantee that this information will be discussed again. This time has been allocated outside of the course tuition time to address these issues.
