Certificate in Event, Venue Media Management (Certified by FETAC)
This course is designed for individuals who have a desire to study all aspects of event management, including event creation, debriefing and future development. Students will acquire both theoretical and practical skills over the duration of the course.

COURSE CONTENT • Event Management: Introduction to the key areas of Event Management, including event creation, debriefing and future development, programming, staffing and health and safety. • Event Promotion: Introduction to local and national event promotion, including PR material, media monitoring, buying and selling advertising, distribution and writing (interviewing, reviewing, press releasing etc). • Event Funding: Introduction to sponsorship & partnership approaches and execution, private funding, public funding, grant aid. • Venue Management: Introduction to venue management, including overall venue management and staging of events.

DURATION: 14 weeks FEE: €420 TIMES: Monday 7.00p.m.-9.00p.m. ENROLMENT DATE: Monday 21st January 2008 7.00p.m. - 9.00p.m. COMMENCEMENT DATE: Monday 4th February 2008
