Hearing and Visual impairments
• Keeping and environment safe for all legislation relating to health and safety
• Observation Skills
• Infectious Diseases
Signs and symptoms of an ill child, care of the sick child, immunisation
• Speech and language disorders
Language - use of language, factors inhibiting development of language
• Oral-relating, questioning and answering, Aural listening and comprehension, Physical eye contact, gestures and turn-taking
• Child Protection
• Culture and ethnicity - religions and modern beliefs
• Understanding and managing difficult behaviour

• English : methods of teaching reading, reading corners and reading partners

DURATION: 20 weeks
FEE: €725 (EXCLUDING EXAM FEE)
