This course provides the learner with an appreciation of graphic design and acts as a vehicle for creativity and self-expression.
COURSE CONTENT
This course consists of 4 units
- Develop a knowledge and understanding of the principals of graphic design
- Develop an awareness of basic technical and graphic constructions.
- Be aware of both traditional and modern methods of production for print design
- Develop basic computer graphic skills and an awareness of design technology
- Develop an appreciation of letter forms and typography
- Have the ability to work within the constraints of a design brief and within a fixed time allocation
